August 1966. England is celebrating its World Cup victory. In West London, three police officers stop a van on Braybrook Street. Moments later, they are executed in cold blood — gunned down in front of horrified witnesses, including children. With no clear motive, Detective Superintendent Dick Chitty launches what would become Britain’s biggest manhunt. Two suspects are quickly caught, but the third - Harry Roberts - vanishes. For three months, he evades capture as the nation reels, and the families of the fallen officers are thrust into the public eye, their lives changed forever. When Roberts is finally found hiding in a barn, justice is swift but the damage is done. The ripple effect is felt for generations. British policing is transformed — firearms squads are introduced, protocols rewritten, and the Police Dependents’ Trust is founded to support officers' families. With the 60th anniversary approaching in August 2026, Foxtrot One One offers a timely exploration of a story that has long deserved a voice. The Braybrook Street murders, overshadowed by the cultural milestones of the mid-1960s, remain one of the most significant true crimes in British history—yet they have never been accurately dramatised.

Public interest in the case resurfaced during the controversial release of Harry Roberts in November 2014, reigniting outrage and reigniting debates about justice, rehabilitation, and public safety. Even today, Roberts’ movements generate headlines, underscoring the story’s lingering grip on the collective memory of Britain. As conversations about law enforcement, societal divisions, and the personal cost of service grow more urgent, this story resonates deeply with modern audiences. Now is the moment to shine a spotlight on this tragedy, honouring the lives lost, reflecting on its legacy, and reigniting a conversation about justice and accountability.

Over the past decade, our team has conducted extensive research — interviewing family members, surviving officers, historians, and accessing material from the National Archives. Our screenplay is rooted in historical accuracy and personal testimony.

On 12 August 2026, it will be 60 years since the murders. With this anniversary approaching, we are committed to telling this story with the care and gravity it deserves.

The mission

DIRECTOR'S VISION

"Foxtrot One One is not a film about the killers. It is a film about the men who went to work one day and never came home, and about the families whose lives were changed forever.

My intention is to approach the Shepherd’s Bush murders of 1966 with restraint, respect and emotional truth. This is a story rooted in public history, but its real power lies in the private aftermath: the marriages, children, friendships, colleagues and communities left behind after a single act of violence.

Visually, the film will feel grounded, intimate and period-authentic without becoming nostalgic. The 1960s world should feel lived-in rather than decorative: West London streets, police stations, domestic interiors, pubs, vehicles, uniforms and ordinary working lives captured with texture and discipline.

Stage 1 'The Investigation', is now complete, and the production is seeking the final finance required to complete Stage 2 and post-production.
